Status update and about my week
by Tehspiah on Feb.24, 2010, under Misc, News, Randomness
Been kinda busy the past week, Chemistry test was today, and I have have a Calculus test on Thursday (I hate doing natural log differentiations!!!!) and my English teacher just dropped a 3 page essay about the “Great Gatsby” due Friday next week. But I’ve managed to slip in about 3 pages of cleaning Ai Ore 6 per day so Statuses:
Ai Ore 6: 15/42 cleaned
Pastel: Translation & cleaning complete, need to TS when I’m done cleaning Ai Ore or get somebody else to do it.
And we need volume 24 raws for pastel, Kinda rushed the editor notes page on the last release and made some typos (I said volume 23 or 22 er something)
And thanks for the people who dl from the MU links, I’m 9000 dls away from 1month MU premium, so I can finally finish movies in one go.
Continue reading for more about my week (includes a new Gundam)
Sunday a week ago: I read the review of Bioshock 2 on Gamesradar and I thought “OMG OMG OMG MUST BUY”. Well, here it is:
The consumer American in me said it was a good idea to buy it. Good game, but I would consider it a rental choice rather than buying it… I beat it in 3 days on Hard but I did die a few times because I forgot to buy first aid kits. Got the good ending and went chain lightning like the emperor of Star Wars on all the splicers, until I got the insect swarm plasmid, that thing is deadly. I just had to forget my ID that day and the store clerk asked my dad to come in… and he somehow had to check my dad’s birthday when he has spots of white hair growing…
Instant review: Overall: 9/10 Length: I beat it in I think ~15 hours Not for:People with severe motion sickness, I was nearly going to barf until I ate some ginger.
Friday: Best Friday in a long time (no tests at all
), creamed my friends in a doubles tennis match after school and then went home to see the following had arrived:
My Boss DS-1 distortion pedal: I wanted to play Hikari Rising Sun Mix by HydrocarboM with the correct tones, so I bought this pedal, aparently I still need an overdrive pedal… but the distortion is great and had fun playing with it on, until I broke my guitar strings playing Don’t Say Lazy… had to go to best buy to get it restrung since I’m still a noob.
Brother’s iPod 8gb touch: He won’t even let me touch it… *sob*… and as you can guess that’s the sticker, not the iPod itself.
Saturday: Went to Frank & Sons (collectible swap meet/flea market) for the first time ever. (wished I took photos on that day)
My friends went to beef up their Yu-Gi-Oh! decks (Why the hell do they still play that anyways?) and I went because I heard there were Gundams (I guess I’m going to be a nerdy engineer when I get older. Imagine a cubical with a Gundam army inside, and a nerf gun armory). I saw 10-20 Yu-Gi-Oh! card vendors in the whole warehouse, OMFG their prices are expensive but i guess cheaper than online sellers and you can bargain with them. I went to 2 Gundam stands/stores and I bought the 1/144 Seravee thinking it was the 1/100 scale… (sorry but no refunds) F*** I went to the other store and saw the godlike 00 Raiser PG (Rathbad is building that on the forums) should of asked for the price and see if Hong Kong (going during spring break) is cheaper. I don’t know how I’m gonna carry that thing back (inside suitcase or hold it in my hand like a briefcase?) and for some reason that store didn’t have any action bases or Gundam markers (other store had some but no thin panel line ones
but didn’t have 00 raiser or much gundams at all )… WTF 00 raiser but no markers and base Nooooooooooo) Shop owner said he might get some in a week.
Here’s Seravee:
It’s fat and short (water bottle and Exia for size comparison), and the dark teal color turns me off. The weird thing is that inside their instruction manual, the insides of the hip cannons were yellow, and this thing isn’t… And some details were grey… hmm I guess I should really consider painting this thing, but I’m too lazy to ride my bike to the modeling shop that’s a mile away from my house and the shop is running out of colors.

BTW ch115 is cleaned already, but it was done without layers so some pages probably needs more work.

TehSpiah, My brother is that guy with the army of gundams and Nerf Arsenal. Not a typical engineer, but educated as a network engineer. He has +/- 80 or so Gundams ranging from the US action Figures, 1/100 kits, 1/144 ktis, 1/60 kits, 1/450 kits, SD kits, MSIA, HCM-PRO, and Cosmic Regions. For the nerf guns, he has a dozen or so and has been looking at getting the Recon, Raider, Longstrike, and Vulcan……Maybe he’ll post some pictures of his gundams like I’ve been pestering him to.

The collection pictures are forth coming once I DL them off my memory card and upload them. Spiah, the instruction manuals for the HG kits show the final painted versions, only in MG and PG kits are the vast majority of the parts molded in their final color. Also, I’m gonna start building the PG 00 Raiser once I finish my 1/100 Designer version. BTW: have you assembled the MG Exia Repair R1 parts yet?
