• Cities Skylines, Sim City’s proper replacement

    Cities Skylines is now out on Steam! Within hours of going live, the game already has an astounding 60,000 players in game, according to the Steam Community Hub. I have only been able to play lightly from a remote connection to my home computer but what I have seen thus far is quite amazing. The simulation is pretty well done and feels natural (albeit annoying when it comes to laying water lines but that’s what i love about these types of games). I really love the wind and water simulation that keeps it alive. At first it seems quite static but it quickly comes alive and you start to have fun just following people and cars around your town. There are a few bugs that are quite funny to see and do not affect gameplay from the limited time that I could play. One of them was watching a tractor-trailer basically jackknife into a building and then 180 down the road like it was some super truck with ball wheels instead of tires. Quite entertaining.



  • ArcheAge

    2014-09-24_10-54-26ArcheAge was a hidden Easter Egg for me. I knew little about the game until barely a month ago. I got sent a key from a friend to play in the Closed Beta. I played all of 1 hour in the Closed Beta and thought nothing special of the game. Then I decided to do a little research on the game and where It came from.

    I found out that ArcheAge was developed by a Korean based company (I love many Korean games such as Mabinogi and Tera) so that kind of perked me up a bit to look more. What I found was actually quite amazing.



  • Twitch Streaming

    Anime-Girl-With-GunIf you don’t already know, I do have a twitch stream! I am trying to make it a regular thing where I stream every game I that I play or related workings for fun. You can catch me on http://www.twitch.tv/noobiesnack. I usually play games like Mabinogi and APB, but I do play a lot of other games as well. I typically stream between 5p – 11p Every day. I sometimes even have anime music from my library playing! Dont forget to favorite!



  • Slacker

    So, I have been slacking recently again. I have been spending a LOT of time playing APB:Reloaded. I am really enjoying the rage hackers and the subsequent them getting banned pretty quickly now. Its very nice to see the game getting cleaned up. There are a lot of hackers that didn’t see it coming and they deserve it. My only fear is that there are actually a few false-positives and given GamersFirst response, I can’t help but think about them. I mean, even if the accuracy is 99.5%, that is really damn good but it still means someone got banned unjustly. As for gameplay, It runs good now. Though for some reason I gust rusty. I absolutely SUCK sometimes and then do amazing suddenly then go back to sucking. I guess my mood and my team decide it? I have also been back into Mabinogi lately. Doing some fun stuff and making people jelly over my cute character. I got some new clothes (yay) for my character and even spent some money dyeing old ones to better colors. I will be spending the rest of today selling stuff I don’t want. Will have to see where it goes!  



  • Looking for Ideas

    I am slowly coming up with ideas for a game I want to make. I really want to make it sort of like a cross between the idea of EvE where you can control territory, and the combat and style of Tera. I was thinking about making it single player with the ability to co-op or maybe even Multiplayer with turning it into an mmo if the idea takes off. The idea would be that it is set in the typical fantasy style with a little bit of magic and lots of combat. I also like the idea of having NPC characters be hire-able to fight with you. The idea where a player can be whatever they want. They can build a kingdom, they can simply become an economy whore, or they can be bandits and raid others.  It would rely on setting up resources for feeding your nation or group. It would be very open world and the map sizes would be huge, covering many kilometers. If it becomes a mmo, it would even be separated into separate zones that can be accessed through gates. But there are so many fine details to workout that I just simply do not



  • Second Life Building – Progress is slow

    Progress has been slowed down recently, but I did make very good progress on Saturday and the beginning of Sunday. I got most of the Living Area done. I even managed to find a few people to take up a couple of vacant rooms! But there is still a lot to be done. I have made a bathroom-ish area out of one of the rooms. But I am not quite sure what to decorate it with and will probably be a while before I do anything with it. I also have moved the Dance/Rave area over to where Cabro’s Terrifying Abomination was at. This was due to a fight among us over some returning of objects that escalated into them raging and leaving to do their own thing. As a result, there is now a large open area next to the building that has been marked off as Work In Progress while I decide what to do with it. Its likely that I will turn this into an entrance area for the land, i just need to work out exactly how.



  • Second Life Building – The Fun Begins

    Well, I kind of got bored and couldn’t come up with any more direct ideas without actually seeing some progress done on what I already have for designs. So, I have begun to tear everything apart. FUN! Its actually turning out to be quite nice. I used some very simple Mesh blocks, because the default SL prims are very annoying to work with, and started with the Dance / Rave room. Its not fully done, cosmetic items are missing such as Windows and some things to go on the walls, but its looking good so far! After I get some cosmetics out of the way, I plan to begin building the rooms. I have some pretty cool designs setup for outside that I need to have done so that I can make the cosmetics for. There is a lot of mesh items I need to design but without actually seeing the area it is difficult to judge what I can do in simple mesh boxes vs having to create a whole mesh object for.   • Second Life Building – Prepare for Terrible Drawing

    I got tired of all the issues I was having with any design software I could find online that didn’t want $400 just so that I could draw lines and circles on a grid. I tried using a few other photo editors and quickly gave up on them. Layout, from Google, was the best I could find for software and was what I was using up until now. However, even it is lacking what I really needed: the ability to simply DRAW lines and not have to deal with objects, boxes, and other things that got in the way. So instead, I will be going old fashion and drawing by hand with pencil and graph paper. My only complaint is that the graph paper I bought was in inches and not in cm. So I guess I will have to do a little bit of math to create a ratio conversion so I can keep the measurements precise. I did run into a few mishaps such as the top middle window is slightly off. This was due to my own rush and I would have likely made the same mistake through software. Only difference is that its much messier to



  • Second Life Building – All of the Dance

    So, there has not been much progress today. I would like to hand draw the rest of the designs but I am too lazy to go to the store right now to get some proper paper. It will probably be Saturday when I go shopping that I will get the paper that I need to do this on. The design for the Club is fairly simple. I plan on using some of the stuff we currently have, such as the floor, dance animations, dance poles, speakers, and some of the stage clutter. I will also be bringing in some new furniture, I have not decided if I will be making my own or using bought furniture. I think creating furniture would be a great experience though and I will probably stream me creating it when I do. The Area marked as Glow Sticks is a joke at Tom’s expense for being a derp and leaving a bunch of floating glow sticks in the building for over a month now without moving them. We may sell, or give out free, glow sticks with some effects. I do not think I will be doing a floor layout for the stores or for
